Privacy Policy
Conflitti & Associates (“C&A”) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Canadian legislation governs the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information and the polices set forth in the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“The Act”), as well as any other provincial privacy laws, are strictly adhered to by C&A.
“Personal Information”, as specified in The Act, is as follows: information about an identifiable individual, but does not include the name, title or business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization. At C&A, personal information means any identifying information about an individual as defined by The Act and includes information provided to C&A by any candidate, including: contact information; social insurance number; work history; education; academic transcripts; job search information; client lists; as well as any notes and assessments made about the candidate by an employee of C&A during your job search.
C&A keeps a candidate’s personal information in a private database and may contact a candidate occasionally with possible job opportunities. At any time, a candidate can request that his or her personal information be removed from C&A’s database, or that no further contact should be made by contacting C&A. It is the candidate’s responsibility to update C&A as to any changes in his or her personal information. A candidate’s personal information will only be accessed by an owner, principal or employee of C&A, or C&A’s successor in interest, or any party which requires access to this personal information to assist C&A in connection with a job search.
Unless otherwise required by law, C&A will not collect, use or disclose your personal information without your consent. This consent may be expressed or implied. Expressed consent may be verbal, written or through electronic means such as telephone, e-mail or fax. However, C&A cannot guarantee the security of any such means of communication. Your consent may also be implied by your actions. When a candidate submits their resume and information to C&A, it is implied that he or she has consented to the collection, use and disclosure of the information contained on the resume or in the submission in accordance with the terms of this privacy policy. A candidate may withdraw their consent at any time by contacting C&A.
C&A maintains all possible safeguards to protect a candidate’s personal information. A candidate is entitled to access their personal information, and should do so by contacting C&A. When requesting access to your personal information, C&A may require that you provide security information in order to protect and confirm your identity and allow us to locate and supply you with any information that is contained in our files. Applicable laws or regulations may allow or require us to deny a candidate’s request for personal information.
C&A may make changes to this privacy policy. Any changes or revisions will be posted on our website at www.conflitti associates.com. If any changes are made which concern the use, collection or disclosure of your personal information that require your consent, none will be made until your consent has been received.
